Prof. Elaine Farndale
Elaine Farndale (Ph.D., Doctor in Economics and Management h.c.) is a Professor of HRM and Director of the School of Labor and Employment Relations at Pennsylvania State University (USA), where she is also Founder and Director of the Center for International Human Resource Studies. Her widely published research encompasses the broad field of strategic (international) HRM. She has served as Co-Editor-in-Chief for Human Resource Management Journal, Co-Editor for Routledge’s Global HRM Series and Associate Editor for Human Resource Management and International Journal of Human Resource Management. She has published over 100 scholarly articles, book chapters and books from her international collaborations.

Kgomotso Mopalami
Kgomotso Mopalami is a distinguished HR Executive, contributing author, and thought leader with extensive expertise across various human resource disciplines. She plays a key role in facilitating National People Practices, Governance Standards, and HR Audits developed by the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP) in South Africa and neighboring countries. In addition to authoring numerous articles and fact sheets for the HR profession, she oversees key SABPP national committees. With a career spanning over two decades in both the private and public sectors, Kgomotso has held leadership roles including Branch Manager, Personal Financial Advisor, and Training Facilitator. She currently serves as the Head of Professional Solutions and Business at SABPP and is a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg. Her doctoral research focused on HR Governance and its impact on municipal performance. She is a former SABPP Chairperson for the Free State Province, past Head of Research s Innovation at SABPP, and has lectured at North-West University’s School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management. Additionally, she has contributed as an academic journal peer reviewer and serves as a standing guest lecturer for both undergraduate and postgraduate HR modules at various universities. Beyond her contributions to HR, Kgomotso is passionate about language and literature, having edited Setswana literary works and translated a book into Setswana. She is also deeply committed to ethics education, playing a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Workplace Ethics Programme at SABPP. Furthermore, she co-produced learning materials for the Middle Management Ethics Management Programme and online training on Organisational Ethics and Conflict Resolution Management in collaboration with Effective Forces Consulting.

Dr. R. L. (Bex) Hewett
She is the Academic Director of the ERIM part-time PhD programme and lectures in RSM’s Beyond HR programme for experienced HR professionals. She is currently an Associate Editor at Human Resource Management Review and a member of the Academy of Management’s HR Division Executive Committee. Bex received her PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London. Prior to this, she worked as an HR professional for ten years, eventually becoming Head of HR Operations at Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator. Lead researcher for the People and Self-Managed Organizations project. Her research has been published in a variety of journals, including the Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, Human Resource Management Review, and Human Resource Management.
